Carnival of the Veil - Week two

Carnival of the Veil is up for Week Two!

Next week, the Carnival will be hosted by Yours Truly. I'm really glad that Gunner is putting this resorce together for exmo/Post-Mo blogs. I know that this blog is read primarily by Catholics, so it might not be understood what a milestone a resource like this truly is. Most exmo's are anonymous, in hiding and suffering through the loss of a religion in a very personal way. Exmo's who choose to blog about their experiences, though few and far between, are finally beginning to form a network of support for each other. Now, if we can only get a St. Blog's for exmo bloggers, we'll be in business!

cynthia, i was beginning to follow your blog with some interest but the carnival of the veil is in bad taste. what exactly is wrong with allowing others their holy things? why mock and make fun? i am in no position to make any statement on your personal experiences in the Church, but why do you and others find it appropriate to ridicule? that is not Christ-like and it does not speak well of your new catholic faith.

i am sorry to see this content and tone here. i understand you have a deep-seated dislike for latter-day saints and everything mormon. my question is simply, why can't it still be right for many others who are happily lds and truly believe the doctrines and revelations?

arguing against the doctrinal substance of lds revelations and beliefs is one thing, but villifying the people and the life of the church, which is perfectly comfortable, loving, and enlightening for many members does not follow from substantive differences about doctrine.

based on the mocking nature of the content here, i am also disappointed that brad links you at defensor veritas.
